Some of the best local foods and homey environment in Rusutsu-Mura, we spent New Year’s Eve dinner here. Delicious!!

Pros: Izakaya atmosphere, Staff can communicate well even with limited English vocals.Cons: Average quality (Japanese standard, still tasty for sure) but price was even higher than the Izakaya in Rusutsu Resort, very small tables don’t even have place for Jackets¥3800 for a basic Shabu Shabu port with A2 grade frozen beef slices is not a good pick .. see photo. Very salty sauce.Our top pick was ¥1300 teriyaki chicken.

Great small Izakya. Their staff is friendly to the moon. And english does work good. Try the 'Gyoza of Death' - most fun game to play when hanging out with friends

Nice cozy environment. Minced chicken and Rusutsu pork Yakitori were unforgettable! Butter mushrooms too. We came early without a reservation and were lucky to have an hour to experience this!

Great local food. Very small restaurant at busy times of the year you will need to make a booking. Standard prices.

Great chicken yakitori, short beef rib yakitori, and uni donburi. The grilled salmon was too salty but everything else was great.

Great food and atmosphere. We rocked up and the place was full but the host was very happy to squeeze us in around the crowd. The food was delicious with plenty of variety. Mostly local produce or sourced from nearby.

Most of the customers were foreigners. I heard that the price is cheap, but the price of the resort area is cheap.Winter is much cheaper than eating at the hotel unless the outside is snowstorm.You should make a reservation. Just after 8 pm it is OK without a reservation.

Order the death gyoza - 4 normal, 1 insanely spicy. It’s a surprise! We also ordered the hokke fish - large portion! It’s a small place, try to reserve a table. You may come out smelling of smoke but it’s a price worth paying. The kitchen might be small too so food was a little slow to come out when the place was full.
